RETURNS PROPOSAL

The Institute is in the process of drafting its comment letter on the SEC’s proposal to require
mutual funds to disclose after-tax returns.1 We hope to circulate a draft to you within the next two
weeks, at the latest. We have scheduled a meeting for June 8, 2000 to discuss the draft letter. The
meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Institute, in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th
Floor. Lunch will be served following the meeting.
