RE: NOTICE OF MEETING - NOVEMBER 1, 1999

In conjunction with the Institute’s Equity Markets Conference, a meeting of the Equity
Markets Advisory Committee has been scheduled for Monday, November 1, 1999 at the offices
of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. The meeting will
be held at 3:00 p.m. in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor. Following the
conclusion of the meeting, we are planning a dinner for Committee members as well as
conference speakers at 7:00 p.m. at Equinox, 818 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C.
Please indicate in the spaces provided below whether you or an alternate plan to attend
the meeting and the dinner following the meeting. In addition, please provide on the form
below any items that you would like to discuss at the meeting. A draft agenda will follow
under separate cover.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not yet registered for the Equity Markets Conference on
November 2, please do so as soon as possible. The registration deadline for the conference is
