RE: AGENDA FOR APRIL 24 MEETING

Attached is the agenda for the April 24, 1989 Transfer
Agent Shareholder Accounting Advisory Committee meeting which, as
we told you in memorandum to Transfer Agent Shareholder
Accounting Advisory Committee No. 7-89, will be held starting at
9:30 a.m. in the 6th Floor Board Room of the Investment Company
Institute, 1600 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20036. The
meeting will include lunch and is expected to be over by 3:00
p.m.
We plan to thoroughly review the backup withholding area so
that Institute representatives can continue meetings with the
Treasury and the Congress. In addition, as this Committee has
not met for some time, we invite you to discuss any items which
you believe this Committee and the Institute should address.
If you have not already done so, please call Rita Pemberton
at 202/955-3551 by Wednesday, April 19, 1989 to let her know
whether or not you will be attending this meeting.
