RE: DRAFT AGENDA FOR JULY 29TH MEETING

Attached is a draft agenda for the next meeting of the Compliance Advisory Committee. As
previously indicated, the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 29th at the offices of Capital
Research and Management Company, 333 South Hope Street, 55th Floor, Los Angeles, CA. Lunch will
be served. After lunch, there will be a session featuring two speakers from NASD Regulation, Inc. Tom
Selman, Vice President, Investment Companies/Corporate Financing, and June Batcheller, Supervisor,
Advertising/Investment Companies Regulation, will address current NASD issues affecting mutual
funds.
In addition, as announced earlier, Committee members are invited to attend a luncheon meeting
of the California ’40 Acts Group on Friday, July 30th. This meeting will be held at the Museum of
Television and Radio, 465 North Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (not 11:30
p.m. as inadvertently indicated on the initial meeting notice.)
