RE: COMMITTEE MEETING -- OCTOBER 28

Enclosed is the packet of materials for the Director Services Committee meeting scheduled for
October 28 at 4:00 p.m. in the Pan American Room at the Capital Hilton Hotel, Washington, D.C.
At the suggestion of Dawn-Marie Driscoll, we will lead off the meeting with a discussion of
major issues confronting your respective boards. Please come prepared to share at least one such issue
with the members of the Committee. This discussion could help direct the future activities of the
Committee and/or Institute programs for fund directors.
We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday and are pleased that many of you have elected to
remain in Washington for the Directors Conference as speakers and participants. If you have agreed to
serve as a facilitator for the breakfast discussions on Friday, please note that we plan to send out a list of
suggested discussion topics later this week.
