RE: PRELIMINARY AGENDA - PENSION COMMITTEE MEETING

The preliminary agenda for the Pension Committee meeting on Thursday, October 22, 1998 is
attached. The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the David Silver Conference Room of the Investment
Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., 12th Floor, Washington, DC. A lunch will be served following
the meeting.
Following the lunch, Pension Committee members are invited to attend a meeting regarding
Roth IRA Guidance. This meeting is expected to last approximately two hours.
