October 5 Meeting on Industry Capitalization Issues
As you know,1 the Tax Committee and the Advisor/Distributor Task Force will meet on
October 5 at 2:00 to discuss industry capitalization issues such as the costs of starting up new funds
and the treatment of commission payments to brokers upon the sale of “B” shares. A more detailed
agenda will be provided at the meeting.
October 5 Dinner
As in the past, a dinner for interested Tax Committee members and/or their alternates has
been scheduled for the evening before the Tax Committee meeting. The October 5 dinner will be
held at DC Coast, 1401 K Street, NW, in the Wine Room on the lower level. A reception will begin at
6:30 with dinner at 7:00. During the dinner, we will spend a few minutes honoring Eric Burns for his
5 years of service as Chair of the Tax Committee. If you plan to attend the dinner, please complete
