RE: NOTICE OF MEETING - OCTOBER 21, 1998

A meeting of the SEC Rules Committee has been scheduled for Wednesday, October 21,
1998 at the offices of the Investment Company Institute, 1401 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
The meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the David Silver Conference Room on the 12th floor,
and lunch will be served following the meeting.
Because of the size of the committee, we wish to remind you that only one person per
complex should attend the meeting. Please indicate in the space provided below whether you
or an alternate plan to attend the meeting. In addition, please provide on the form below any
items that you would like to discuss at the meeting.
