CONFERENCE

The Investment Company Institute is holding its Fifth Annual Investment Company Directors
Conference, October 28-30, 1998 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. A preliminary
program and registration form for this event will be mailed to you in late July. Attendance at the
Conference is limited to directors, trustees, partners, officers and employees of Institute members, and
will be limited to a total of 250 persons.
The Conference will open with registration and a reception on Wednesday evening, October 28.
The Conference programs will take place on Thursday and Friday, October 29-30. We anticipate that the
program will end at noon on Friday and will be followed by an informal lunch from noon to 2:00.
