The Treasury Clearing Working Group will focus on 40 Act-related matters arising from the Treasury clearing mandate and support buy-side implementation of the SEC’s Treasury clearing final rule. This group will serve as a forum for (1) identifying fund-related issues to raise with the Fixed Income Clearing Corporation (FICC) or any other covered clearing agency (CCA) that enters into the Treasury clearing market and determine what industry requests may arise to address those issues; (2) evaluating CCA rule filings that will affect registered funds; and (3) engaging with the SEC to resolve issues that remain unsettled or unclear from the final rule. To efficiently further industry advocacy objectives, this ICI-led working group will also include joint registered investment company members of ICI and SIFMA AMG and SIFMA AMG staff.
The Treasury Clearing Working Group currently holds monthly meetings, as well as other more frequent meetings as needed.
The Treasury Clearing Working Group is an Invitation Only working group. Each member firm may have three representatives on the Treasury Clearing Working Group. Non-members may participate on the committee at the staff coordinator’s request.
