Tax Advisory Committee

The Tax Advisory Committee deals with legislative, regulatory, and compliance issues (in federal, state, and international contexts) affecting the taxation of investment companies and their shareholders.

Committee Meetings

The Advisory committee holds at least two meetings per year. It may hold additional meetings and/or conference calls as needed.

Membership Information

The Tax Advisory Committee is an Invitation Only Committee. It is open to member firms and outside advisors. Please contact the Advisory Committee Coordinator if you are interested in joining the committee.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Credit


Upon completion of an in-person Tax Advisory Committee meeting, each participant will be eligible for up to 3.5 hours of CPE credit. The Investment Company Institute is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasbaregistry.org.

Learning Objectives: To provide a comprehensive update on tax developments, including domestic and international legislative and regulatory tax updates, tax policy, and tax compliance developments relevant to investment companies, their sponsoring firms, and their shareholders.
