CCO Advisory Issues Subcommittee

The CCO Advisory Issues Subcommittee is a subgroup of ICI’s CCO Committee. It consists of those members of the CCO Committee who are interested in issues relating to fund advisers and sub-advisers. While ICI’s CCO Committee addresses a variety of issues impacting CCOs, this Subcommittee will focus on issues of particular interest to CCOs of fund advisers and sub-advisers in manager-of-manager arrangements.

Key Issues of Interest

The key issues of interest for the Subcommittee are those relating to manager-of-manager structures, including those relating to the relationship between the fund’s primary adviser and its subadviser(s).

Subcommittee Meetings

The Subcommittee meets virtually throughout the year when there are issues members want to discuss. In addition to Subcommittee meetings, Subcommittee members also have the opportunity to raise subadvisory issues during meetings of the CCO Committee. In addition to these meetings, Subcommittee members have the opportunity to propose projects or issues relating to fund subadvisers that should be the subject of a Working Group. Once the Subcommittee determines a Working Group should be created to tackle a particular problem or issue, Subcommittee members who are interested in the topic will be asked to appoint one or more persons from their firm (which might include the CCO who is the Subcommittee member) to the Working Group on that topic. Once a Working Group on a project completes the project, the Working Group will be disbanded

As noted above, once the Subcommittee appoints a Working Group to tackle an issue or project, a Subcommittee member may appoint persons within their firm to work on the project.
