Join IDC on October 29 to hear from Kathy Sullivan, a pioneering astronaut, geologist, and oceanographer. Among her many achievements, she made history as the first woman to walk in space and to dive the Mariana Trench, the deepest point in the ocean.  

After a career total of 532 hours in space, Sullivan continued her professional journey through several prestigious roles, including: 

  • Chief Scientist, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)  
  • Administrator, NOAA 
  • President and CEO, Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, Ohio 
  • Inaugural Director, Battelle Center for Mathematics and Science Education Policy, The Ohio State University 

Heather Brilliant, CEO of Diamond Hill, will interview Sullivan about her professional and personal journey, as well as the leadership skills developed through Sullivan’s trailblazing experiences.
