Environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing continues to rapidly expand and is expected to be a top area of focus for policymakers and regulators around the globe this year.

In October, the Department of Labor (DOL) finalized a regulation (Financial Factors in Selecting Plan Investments) that modifies the rules for ERISA fiduciaries’ selection of plan investments. In particular, the rule changes the analysis for selecting environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investments. In this webinar, participants hear from ERISA experts about the DOL rule, including an overview of the final rule and how it differs from prior guidance. The discussion also included what impact the change in administration and change in control of the US Senate could have on the future of the rule.
