ICI Chairman on Investor Awareness

"Investor awareness is really a major concern of the Institute and the industry. Together I think we’ve made a lot of progress in trying to improve investor awareness and understanding of mutual funds. One of the things people may not be aware enough of is risk…the rewards of investing have been great for the last 17 years, but we hope that the message that there’s risk that comes with those rewards is getting home."
