ICI Welcomes SEC Scrutiny of Rule 12b-1, June 2007

Washington, DC, June 19, 2007 – Paul Schott Stevens, president of the Investment Company Institute, issued the following statement in response to the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Roundtable on Rule 12b-1:

“We welcome the thoughtful consideration and wide range of perspectives that the SEC has brought to bear on considering Rule 12b-1. The rule and its associated fees have become integral to the structure of the fund industry. We are confident that today’s Roundtable will help inform the Commission as it embarks on its review of the rule.”
