Washington, DC, December 22, 2017—ICI President and CEO Paul Schott Stevens today issued the following statement after the US Senate confirmed Preston Rutledge as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA):
“We congratulate Preston Rutledge on his confirmation to serve as assistant secretary of labor for EBSA. Rutledge has deep expertise in retirement policy, employee benefits, and other important areas, which will help him do an outstanding job at EBSA.
“His strong experience as an attorney at the Internal Revenue Service and on Capitol Hill demonstrates his commitment to public service and desire for outcomes that will benefit both employees and employers.
