The Investment Company Institutes 1996 Investment Advisers Conference will be held on
September 27 at the Universal City Hilton and Towers Hotel in Los Angeles. Enclosed is the
preliminary program and registration form for this event.
The enclosed program describes the highlights of this one-day conference and the panels, whose
discussions will focus on federal regulatory developments, compliance issues, legislative and state
developments, and marketing for advisers. We are pleased to announce that Elaine Cacheris, Regional
Director of the Pacific Regional Office of the SEC will give the keynote address and Tom Petruno,
Columnist for the Los Angeles Times Business Section will be our luncheon speaker.

Towers Hotel in Los Angeles at 818/506-2500 prior to the cutoff date of September 5, 1996. Be sure to
identify yourself as an Investment Company Institute conference attendee to secure the conference rate
of $115 per night.
