TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 26-09     RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - JULY 15-16, 2009 AND COST BASIS REPORTING TASK FORCE MEETINGS JULY 14-15

 

The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will be held on Wednesday, July 15 and Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the offices of Goldman, Sachs & Company located at 71 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60606.  Goldman Sachs is approximately 18 miles from Chicago O’Hare International Airport and approximately 12 miles from Chicago Midway International Airport.  The meetings will take place in Client Conference Room 5E on the fifth floor.  Attendees will need to show a photo ID to security on the first floor before proceeding to the conference room.  On Wednesday, July 15, lunch will be served at 12:00 noon , the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m.  On Thursday, July 16, the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.  Continental breakfast will be provided beginning at 8:15 a.m., lunch will be served at noon, and the meeting is expected to end at 2:00 p.m.  Please note that all times are Central Time.  Attire for the meetings is business.

The BDAC Cost Basis Reporting Task Force is also scheduled to meet prior to the BDAC meeting at the offices of Goldman Sachs.  On Tuesday, July 14, the meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Client Conference Room 5I.  Continental Breakfast will be available before the meeting, lunch will be provided at 12:00 noon, and the meeting will conclude at 5:30 p.m.  On Wednesday, July 15, the CBR Task Force meeting will continue in the Client Conference Room 5E starting at 9:00 a.m.  Continental breakfast will be available before the meeting and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon before the start of the BDAC meeting.  Please provide a photo ID to security on the first floor before proceeding to the conference room on the fifth floor.  Please note that all times are Central Time. Attire for the meetings is business.

 

Hotel Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Renaissance Chicago Downtown located at 1 West Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601 for the evenings of July 14th and 15th at a rate of $209.00 per night. Goldman, Sachs & Company is less than a mile from the Renaissance.  To make reservations, please call the hotel at (312) 372-7200 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee.  Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited.  All reservations must be guaranteed by June 19, 2009 to receive the room block rate.  Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.

 

Committee Dinner

The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, July 15.  More information regarding the dinner location will be forthcoming.  The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7:30 p.m.  Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount of $100.00 via credit card as part of the registration process.  Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $100.00.  Attire for the dinner is business casual.
