BDAC Meeting Notice - April 22-23, 2009 and Task Force Meetings April 21 & 22

TO: BROKER/DEALER ADVISORY COMMITTEE No. 14-09     RE: BDAC MEETING NOTICE - APRIL 22-23, 2009 AND TASK FORCE MEETINGS APRIL 21 & 22

 

The next meeting of the Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee will take place on Wednesday, April 22 and Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the offices of Invesco Aim located at 11 Greenway Plaza, Houston, TX 77046. Invesco Aim is approximately 14 miles (23 minutes estimated driving time) from William B. Hobby Airport and approximately 25 miles (32 minutes estimated driving time) from George Bush International Airport. The sessions will take place on the 25th Floor in the Auditorium. Upon arrival, meeting attendees will need to check in with security on the 25th Floor before proceeding to the meeting room. On Wednesday, April 22, lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m., the meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. On Thursday, April 23, continental breakfast will be available at 8:15 a.m., the meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m., lunch will be served at noon and the meeting is expected to conclude by 2:00 p.m. Please note that the times are in Central Standard Time.

 

The BDAC Cost Basis Task Force is scheduled to meet prior to the BDAC meetings at the offices of Invesco Aim on Tuesday afternoon, April 21st from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. (The meeting room location will be sent under separate cover.) The BDAC Omnibus Task Force is also scheduled to meet to discuss the Omni/SERV project in the same location as the committee meetings on Wednesday morning, April 22nd from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Breakfast will be provided prior to the start of the Omnibus meeting and lunch will be served at noon. Attire for all meetings is business casual.

 

Hotel Accommodations

 

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Renaissance Houston Hotel located at 6 Greenway Plaza East, Houston, TX 77046 for the evenings of April 21st and 22nd at a rate of $189.00 per night. The Renaissance Houston Hotel is about a block (approximately a 5 minute walk) from the Invesco Aim offices. To make reservations, please call the hotel at (713) 629-1200 and indicate that you are an Investment Company Institute meeting attendee. Please make your hotel reservations as soon as possible as rooms are limited. All reservations must be guaranteed by March 31, 2009 to receive the block room rate. Reservations must be cancelled 48 hours prior to the day of arrival to avoid penalty.

 

 

Committee Dinner

 

The Committee dinner will be held on the evening of Wednesday, April 22nd. More details about the location of the dinner will be forthcoming. The reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. CST. Committee members (or their substitutes) electing to attend the committee dinner will pay a standard amount of $85.00 via credit card as part of the registration process. Please note that if you confirm attendance for the BDAC dinner and cancel within 3 business days of the scheduled event, you will be charged the $85.00. Attire for the dinner is business casual.

Please register for the Cost Basis Reporting Task Force meeting, Omnibus Task Force meeting and Broker/Dealer Advisory Committee meeting and associated dinner online via Cvent at http://members.ici.org/reg/bdac. Please note that the only way to register for the BDAC meeting and dinner is through the Cvent link above. A dial in number will be provided for those members that can’t attend the task force meetings in person. Please indicate via Cvent if you plan to participate in person or by phone for the task force meetings.
